Power restored to nearly 1,500 without power in south Lawrence
Westar Energy reported 1,459 customers without power Wednesday, June 3, 2015.
Westar Energy reported 1,459 customers without power Wednesday morning in a wide area along 31st Street, from Kasold Drive to Haskell Avenue.
According to Westar’s outage map, the first reports were received at 11:35 a.m., around the time a storm system and heavy rain moved into Lawrence. By 1:15 p.m., Westar had restored power to most of the affected area.
