Douglas County under Flash Flood Watch through Thursday morning

Parts of northeastern Kansas, including Douglas County, will be under a Flash Flood Watch Wednesday night into Thursday morning.

The National Weather Service in Topeka issued the watch, which will extend from 7 p.m. Wednesday until 10 a.m. Thursday.

According to the weather service:

Thunderstorms will become widespread tonight and could move over the same areas repeatedly. Excessive rains resulting in flooding could occur in and close to the watch area tonight.
