Several area baseball and softball players earned All-Pioneer League honors for their play this season.

Santa Fe Trail seniors Spencer Bessette (pitcher), Weston Gloss (infielder and pitcher), Cody Vandevord (outfielder and pitcher), and junior Brian Hawkins (catcher), along with Wellsville juniors Andy Dougan (infielder) and Tony Dougan (infielder), were first-team selections from the league’s baseball coaches.

Wellsville seniors Jared Klamm and Trevor Shalkoski, along with Santa Fe Trail junior Seth Coltrane, were placed on the second team.

Three Wellsville softball players earned first-team honors: seniors Raegan Beckley (pitcher) and Ashley Sparks (outfielder), and junior Rayne Wright (catcher). Santa Fe Trail junior Candace Roberts (outifelder) and freshman Kelsey Simmons (pitcher) were also placed on the first team.

Wellsville freshmen Hannah Pemberton and Jordan Springfield, along with Santa Fe Trail freshman Savannah Lankton, earned second team nods.
