Veritas girls down Seabury

? Tori Huslig’s 24 points paced Veritas Christian’s girls basketball team to a 48-33 victory over Bishop Seabury in the first game of pool play in the McLouth Invitational on Monday.

The Eagles (7-3) took a 26-10 lead into halftime with strong defensive pressure through their full-court press. Freshman Emma Wilson added 13 points for Veritas.

Regan Zaremba led the Seahawks (1-6) with 11 points.

Veritas will face St. Mary’s at 3 p.m. today for its next game in pool play, and Seabury will play St. Mary’s at 3 p.m. Thursday.
