Topeka ? Veritas Christian School’s girls basketball team trailed Cornerstone Family by one at halftime but couldn’t slow down the Saints after the break, falling 71-55 on Monday.

VCA’s Tori Huslig led all scorers with 24 points, but Cornerstone had four players score in double figures.

Huslig drained four of the Eagles’ five three-pointers, with Alyssa Krestan knocking down VCA’s other make from long range.

Krestan netted 10 points, and Emma Wilson joined her and Huslig in double figures with 13.

Friday, Veritas will host Marais des Cygnes Valley.
