Kansas baseball upends WVU

? Solid starting pitching and an even better bullpen carried Kansas University to a 3-1 Big 12 baseball victory over West Virginia on Friday at Monongalia County Ballpark.

Three KU pitchers limited WVU (23-16 overall, 5-8 Big 12) to one run off four hits as the Jayhawks improved to 18-24, 5-8.

Ben Krauth (6-3) earned the win after allowing one unearned run off three hits over 61/3 innings, with four walks and eight strikeouts. Closer Stephen Villines earned his 11th save. He allowed one hit over two scoreless innings.

The series continues at 10 a.m. today. First pitch was moved up because of a forecast inclement weather.
