KU baseball falls to Sooners in 10

? Oklahoma handed Kansas University’s baseball team an extra-inning loss by scoring four runs in the ninth inning and one in the 10th to defeat the Jayhawks, 7-6, in 10 innings on Thursday.

The Jayhawks led the Sooners, 6-2, going into the bottom of the ninth before Oklahoma strung together five hits and capitalized on a KU error to send the game to extras.

Jacob Evans wasted little time winning it for the Sooners, hitting a leadoff homer off of Stephen Villines in the 10th.

Kansas received one of its best outings from a starting pitcher all season with Ben Krauth limiting the Sooners to two runs on seven hits over 7 2/3 innings. The Sooners went on to rough up Villines, though, as he was tagged for five runs in 1 1/3 innings.

Michael Tinsley boosted his batting average to .356 in the loss after going 3-for-5 with three RBIs. Connor McKay, Joven Afenir and Matt McLaughlin added two hits each.
