Gardner ? Lawrence High defeated Gardner-Edgerton, 2-0, in high school soccer Monday night.

Jake Burdett gave the Lions a 1-0 lead in the first half on a goal assisted by Jared Rousch. Brennan Davies doubled the lead with a goal assisted by Burdett. Andrew Ornburn was in the nets for the shutout.

“We’ve been talking a lot lately about creating more opportunities for our forwards and I thought we did a really nice job of that tonight,” LHS coach Mike Murphy said.

Leavenworth visits the LHS campus for a 7 p.m. game today against the Lions (5-2-1).
