Pool’s last day
Get your last day of swimming in for the season! The city of Lawrence’s Outdoor Aquatic Center is open today for public swimming from 1 to 8:45 p.m. The pool is at 727 Kentucky St. Daily admission fee is $3 for ages 5-17 and 60 or older. It’s $4 for ages 18 to 59. There is no charge for children 4 and younger with an adult paid admission (limit three children per paying adult).
Taking a holiday
What’s closed today? City of Lawrence administrative offices are closed. There will be no yard waste collection today, and the transit system will not run. Meters downtown will be free. Kansas University campus will be closed. In general it may be a good idea to call ahead before going anywhere if you think it might be closed.
