KU-Iowa State to kick off at 2:30 p.m. Nov. 8

Mark Mangino’s return to Kansas University’s Memorial Stadium officially will kick off at 2:30 p.m. on Nov. 8, as the Jayhawks welcome the Iowa State offensive coordinator and his Cyclones to town for a showdown of teams at the bottom of the Big 12 standings.

The Big 12 Conference announced the start time Monday morning and the game, which will be shown on FOX Sports Net, will mark Mangino’s first trip to Memorial Stadium since being forced out as the program’s head coach after the end of the 2009 season and a successful seven-year stint in which he racked up a 50-48 record.

The Jayhawks and Cyclones enter this week with 2-5 overall records and 0-4 marks in Big 12 play. Iowa State plays host to No. 19 Oklahoma on Saturday, while KU plays at No. 12 Baylor.

Kansas leads the all-time series with Iowa State, 49-38-6, including a 27-16-3 mark in games played in Lawrence. The Cyclones have won four-straight games in the series, with KU’s last win by way of a 41-36 victory in Lawrence on Oct. 10, 2009.
