Overnight rain continues into morning in Lawrence
Rain totals of about three-quarters of an inch fell overnight and into the morning in Lawrence, according to the National Weather Service.
Readings reported by the National Weather Service out of the Lawrence Municipal Airport show 0.79 inches of rain fell between midnight and 7 a.m. Thursday.
The weather service reports showers should clear the area by late morning, leaving the afternoon cloudy with highs in the lower 70s. Clouds should begin to clear Thursday night, allowing for temperatures to ramp up Friday through the weekend. The unseasonably warm weekend will have highs ranging from the mid-70s to mid-80s.
