The National Weather Service in Topeka has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Douglas County until 2 a.m.

The 2 a.m. thunderstorm watch also includes Johnson, Leavenworth, Osage and Shawnee counties.

The NWS said as of 7 p.m. the Lawrence area received a quarter of an inch of rain. As of 10:15 p.m., the NWS received no reports of hail in the Lawrence area.
