ESPN reported Monday that former KU guard Xavier Henry of the Los Angeles Lakers has a ruptured left Achilles and will miss the rest of the season.

He apparently suffered the injury in practice.

Lakers coach Byron Scott told ESPN that Henry suffered the injury during a three-on-three drill.

“Nobody hit him or anything like that,” Scott said. “He went down and pretty much said to us that he heard a pop.”

Henry has had knee injures the past two seasons and went to Germany last offseason for treatment. He averaged 2.2 points in 9.6 minutes a game in nine games this season.
