Salvation Army Adopt-A-Family needs donations

The Salvation Army’s annual Adopt-A-Family has 50 more families that need adopted in Douglas County. This year the Salvation Army hopes to help about 130 families.

Adopting a family is a commitment to buy a new outfit and toy, game or personal item for each member of the family along with a gift certificate from a local grocery store for their Christmas dinner. Items must be delivered to the Douglas County Fairground’s Building, 2120 Harper St., building 21, Monday, Dec. 15, and Tuesday, Dec. 16, between 9 a.m. and noon.

Those wishing to help a family and arrange a time for delivery or wanting more information can call Lt. Marisa McCluer, Corps Officer, at 785-766-5905 or email marisa_mccluer@usc.salvationarmy.org.
