KU women’s golf finishes seventh at Briar’s Creek

? Kansas University’s women’s golf team shaved seven strokes off its score for the second straight round on Tuesday, finishing the 17-team Briar’s Creek Intercollegiate in seventh place.

Kansas sophomore Yupaporn “Mook” Kawinpakorn ended in a tie for 15th place with a three-round total of 223 (+7), while KU senior Thanuttra “Fhong” Boonraksasat was one stroke back and tied for 18th place.

“I’m very pleased with how we played today,” KU coach Erin O’Neil said. “I think we are close to putting some really low scores together as a team. “Overall we need to continue to improve our course management along with our putting. We had a few too many three-putts.”

The Jayhawks will be off until April 4, when they will travel to Dallas for the three-day SMU Invitational.
