KU freshmen win tennis debuts

? Kansas University freshmen Morgan Barnhill and Caroline Henderson won their collegiate debuts as KU opened its spring tennis season at the Purdue Inivitational.

Barnhill teamed with Claire Dreyer to beat Purdue’s Nicole Robinson and Andjela Djokovic, 6-1, and Henderson rallied to beat Miami of Ohio’s Ramona Dostea, 6-7 (2-7), 6-2, 10-7.

KU went 1-2 in doubles against Louisville and 1-2 in doubles against Purdue, but won four of six singles matches against Miami.
