Man stabbed in domestic altercation and later arrested
A man was treated at the hospital for a stab wound, then taken to jail following a domestic altercation early Thursday morning.
Lawrence police responded to Lawrence Memorial Hospital to investigate after the stabbing was reported just before 3:30 a.m. in the 2400 block of Ousdahl Road, said Kim Murphree, a Lawrence Police Department spokeswoman.
Police identified a female suspect, who was taken to juvenile detention, Murphree said.
After being treated at the hospital, the man who was stabbed was arrested on a battery charge stemming from the same incident, Murphree said. His injuries were not life threatening.
