Lawrence High sophomore wrestler Alan Clothier will head into Saturday’s Sunflower League Championships at Olathe North as a favorite to repeat as a league champion in his weight class.

Clothier remained the top-ranked wrestler at 182 pounds in Class 6A in this week’s Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association poll. Clothier’s teammate Alex Jones is ranked No. 5 at 285 pounds, while Free State High’s Colton Steele is No. 5 at 160.

Meanwhile, Mill Valley is ranked No. 4 in Class 5A with senior Tyler Dickman atop the rankings at 138 pounds. Ottawa senior Dalton Weidl is the top-ranked wrestler at 195 pounds in Class 4A.
