City responding to a water main leak at W. 13th Street and Kasold Drive
City utilities crews are responding to a water main leak in the median at W. 13th Street and Kasold Drive, the city of Lawrence said in a news release.
The inside lanes in both directions will be closed on Kasold Drive at W. 13th Street to allow crews room to repair the leak, probably for four to six hours, the city said.
Some customers in the area might be without water service because of the break, and city crews are working to notify those residents.
The broken water line is a 12-inch cast iron pipe installed in 1967, the city said.
