Purdue topples Kansas women

? Whitney Bays scored 19 points to lead four Purdue players in double figures, and the Boilermakers claimed a 61-48 victory over Kansas in women’s college basketball Thursday night at Mackey Arena.

Bridget Perry (13), April Wilson (13) and Ashley Morrisstte (12) all scored in double figures for Purdue.

Chelsea Gardner led the Jayhawks with 18 points and also added 11 rebounds.

KU’s Natalie Knight scored 13 of her 15 points in the second half, shooting 60 percent from three-point range.

Purdue evened its record at 4-4.

The Jayhawks (7-3) will host Arkansas State at 2 p.m. Sunday.
