Legislative budget tour wraps up at KU

Key budget legislators will wrap up their informational campus visits Wednesday with a trip to the Kansas University Medical Center and Lawrence campus. The meetings are open to the public.

Members of the House Appropriations and Senate Ways and Means committees will meet during the morning at KU Med in Kansas City, Kan. The visit will start at 9 a.m. with presentations about KUMC and KU in the Varnes Conference Center in the School of Nursing, and then a question-and-answer period, tour and lunch. The Lawrence campus visit will start at 2:30 p.m. at the Bioscience and Technology Business Center with presentations and a tour. Legislators also will visit the School of Pharmacy on west campus.

In the morning, KU Chancellor Bernadette Gray-Little will provide a presentation.

The legislators are visiting the campuses in preparation for the 2014 session, which starts in January.
