A sassy, standout print is a must-have this fall.

Adding some patterned accents to your wardrobe can easily pump up your outfits without overdoing it. Patterns are everywhere this season so it can be a difficult decision to choose which print is best for you.

Mixing patterns are for all you adventurous fashionistas out there, but if you’re not there yet, you can always throw on a printed coat, jacket or even bring in a pop of pattern through your accessories. I’ve been seeing a lot of patterned insets and paneling in fall boots and bags that you can use for the standout print trend. There are endless ways to incorporate fall’s finest prints into your looks so don’t be afraid to try out these techniques.

I personally am not afraid to try out fun and, at times, bizarre prints that this season has thrown at us. Last fall I remember sporting a statement tribal printed peacoat, although it was somewhat downplayed by its gray and black color combination. This season has new, updated versions of the tribal print that I love. Rich fall colors are thrown into this print for a more mature look. So if you’re like me, don’t hesitate to try out a primary piece like outerwear or a dress in a statement tribal print.

You can always balance out your look with solid pieces like tights, tops or denim. Cardigans and sweaters have been popping up left and right with cool tribal patterns mixed with fall’s robust tones like pumpkin and burgundy. Britches, 843 Massachusetts St., has an array of different tribal-printed pieces. They have everything from dresses to leggings to jackets to cardigans covered in fabulous tribal prints. An added print is also a great way to freshen up your look if you ever fall into a fashion slump.

A more subtle way to sport standout prints this season is to search for the details. You’ll most likely find detailed paneling or insets on accessories like bags, belts and footwear.

Hints of tribal detail have been making their way into jewelry as well. This is a super subtle but still effective way to show off the trend.

If you’re unsure of the tribal trend, try easing into it by wearing tribal-inspired jewelry or a leather crossbody bag with fringe detail. I like to mix tribal pieces with solid oversized jackets, dark-washed denim and riding boots. Neutral rugged pieces like those always seem to beautifully accent the tribal pattern.

Whether you dive in head first to standout prints this season or tread lightly, you can still accomplish a well-put-together look with these simple tips!
