Four local organizations receive grants for victims services
Topeka ? Four Lawrence organizations were awarded state grants totaling $167,000 for victims service programs.
Grant recipients were:
— The Willow Domestic Violence Center, $53,500 to provide advocacy for survivors of domestic violence and $25,000 to assist with protection from abuse.
— GaDuGi SafeCenter Inc., $40,500 for community education and direct victim-survivor services.
— TFI Family Services Inc., $39,000 to provide safe and quality supervised visits and exchange services.
— Douglas County CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), $9,000 to enhance the role of CASA volunteers.
