American Cancer Society to host volunteer open house
As a celebration of the 100th birthday of the American Cancer Society, the organization is encouraging people to raise awareness and join the fight against cancer. It’s goal is to recruit at least 100 volunteers in Kansas during May.
As a way to celebrate current volunteers and recruit new ones, it is hosting a volunteer fair and open house from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. May 22 at the Topeka American Cancer Society office, located at 1315 SW Arrowhead Road, Topeka. There will be information about volunteering as well as prizes, activities and refreshments.
