Names of vehicle occupants that crashed through storefront released
Lawrence police released the names of the two occupants of the vehicle that crashed into a Massachusetts Street storefront early Saturday morning.
Dana Jones, 38 of New Century, and Anastasia Brothers, 22 of Lawrence, are identified as the driver and passenger, respectively, in the accident report.
The driver was reportedly ejected from the vehicle and taken by LifeStar helicopter to Kansas University Hospital, where the passenger was also taken by ground.
In an email to Journal-World, Lawrence Police Department spokesperson Trent McKinley said it could be weeks until any potential charges are levied, pending the investigation.
The hospital did not provide an update on the conditions of either as of press time Wednesday night.
The report said the vehicle traveled north, lost control and left the roadway shortly after 3 a.m. Dec. 7.
