The Community Christmas Dinner Committee, a Lawrence-based ad hoc group, is looking for food donations to supply a Christmas day dinner at a local church.

The dinner will be held at First United Methodist Church, at 946 Vermont St., from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The committee is seeking to provide 50 12- to 14-pound turkeys, 35 boneless 5-pound hams and pies.

To contribute food, contact Deb Engstrom, at deb5550@att.net or 330-3105, by Dec. 19. Meat should be dropped off at First United Methodist Church between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Dec. 20, unless other arrangements are made.

Anyone who would like a meal delivered to them may call 841-1516 after 6 a.m. Christmas day.
