Veritas boys, girls lose at Shea Invitational

Manhattan — Tori Huslig scored 25 points, but Veritas Christian’s girls basketball team fell to Wichita Sunrise on Friday in the Shea Invitational semifinals.

“We really didn’t have a first half,” Veritas coach Kevin Shelton said, “then we really started playing well in the second half. We’re going to try to learn from some of the things we didn’t do quite right today.”

Veritas (1-1) will play for third place at 3 p.m. today.

Manhattan — Michah Edmondson scored 13 points, but the Veritas Christian boys basketball team lost to Saint Marys on Friday in the Shea Invitational.

The Eagles (1-2) will play in the tournament’s third-place game at 4:30 p.m. today against Tyro Christian.
