Dogtoberfest set for Oct. 7 in South Park
Lawrence dogs will get their day at Dogtoberfest on Oct. 7 at South Park, 1141 Mass.
Anyone can bring their dogs to the event, which runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and benefits the Lawrence Humane Society and Lawrence Community Shelter, will feature vendors, seminars, the KC Disc Dog Demonstration and activities for both kids and canines.
Proceeds from the event will help animals at the humane society, as well as help fund a back-to-work program for homeless people.
