Road construction planned on KU’s West Campus, starting Monday

Road construction on Kansas University’s West Campus will begin on Monday, closing a primary north-south road in the area.

Constant Avenue will be closed through Aug. 1 between 19th Street and Irving Hill Road, including intersections.

Parking for affected buildings (including Youngberg Hall, Nichols Hall and the Research Circle) will be accessible using posted detours and temporary connections. During the construction, 19th Street will be closed west of Iowa Street, and the bridge on Irving Hill Road to Daisy Hill also will be closed to traffic.

The Lied Center can be accessed using Crestline Drive during the construction.
