EPA administrator to speak at KU

Lisa Jackson, administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, is scheduled to speak at Kansas University next week on environmental issues and other recent EPA actions.

The town hall forum is scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at Spooner Hall, 1340 Jayhawk Blvd., and is free and open to the public.

The event will be moderated by J. Christopher Brown, KU’s director of its environmental studies program. Jackson’s remarks will be followed by a question-and-answer session with the audience.

Jackson, who was named by Time magazine as one of its “100 Most Influential People in the World” in 2010 and 2011, has served as EPA director since 2009.
