Kansas City, Mo. — The Lawrence Raiders American Legion baseball team lost to KC Prodigy, 9-1 in five innings during the semifinals of the Mid-America Tournament on Sunday at Avila University.
The Raiders’ sole run came in the first inning off of a RBI single by Matt Sutliffe. Singles by CJ Roush and Trent Johnson accounted for the only other Lawrence hits.
Raiders pitcher Trevor Champagne took the loss.
The Raiders (8-4) will play next at 6 p.m., Tuesday in Lawrence.
The location of the game is to be determined.
