Baker hires new administrator

Baker University has hired Lena T. Rodriguez as its new vice president and dean for the School of Professional and Graduate Studies.

Rodriguez has served for four years as the chief marketing and development officer with the Urban Entrepreneur Partnership, a Kauffman Foundation program.

Before that, she worked at San Diego State University as the executive director of special projects and communications for the president.

Rodriguez will begin in her new role on July 1 at the school’s campus in Overland Park.

For the past two years at Baker, Peggy Harris has served as vice president and dean of the School of Professional and Graduate Studies and the School of Education. On July 1, Harris will return to her previous position of vice president and dean for the School of Education.
