Topeka ? House Republican leaders today unveiled their tax proposal.

Here are the highlights:

Caps state spending to 2 percent growth, and revenue received above that will be used to reduce state income tax rates.

Eliminates business income tax on non-wage profits.

Maintains current tax deductions, credits and exemptions, except the state portion of the Earned Income Tax Credit.

Keeps in place current law that reduces state sales tax from 6.3 cents per dollar to 5.7 cents per dollar in 2013.
