Basketball tournament to raise money for scholarship in memory of 21-year-old killed in accident
A basketball tournament will be held this weekend in memory of Preston Lee Scheibler. The proceeds from the tournament will go toward a scholarship fund in Scheibler’s memory.
Scheibler, 21, died Oct. 8 in rural Douglas County from injuries sustained in an ATV accident.
The basketball tournament will be Saturday and Sunday at Cougar’s Court Basketball Academy, 940 E. 28th St. The tournament will be limited to 16 teams with each team having no more than seven players. Participants must be 17 or older.
The cost is $10 per person, and no one can play on more than one team. To register, email thepsbasketball@yahoo.com. Registration is due by 6 p.m. Friday.
