Man flown to hospital after single-vehicle accident near Lone Star Lake

A man was flown to an area hospital late this morning after a single-vehicle accident just south of Lone Star Lake in southwest Douglas County.

The man’s vehicle left the roadway on the 400 block of County Road 460 at about 11:30 a.m., according to Lawrence Douglas County Fire Medical Capt. Zane Morgan. The victim was flown from the scene by an air ambulance. Morgan was unable to say which hospital the man was taken to.

The vehicle was in a steep embankment off the side of the road when crews arrived, Morgan said. Extrication from the vehicle was not required.

No one else was involved in the accident.
