The Douglas County Community Foundation will have a meeting Sept. 6 about applying for grants from the Elizabeth Schultz Environmental Fund.

The information session will begin at 4 p.m. in the gallery room of the Lawrence Public Library, 707 Vt.

The foundation expects $20,000 in funding will be available this year for groups to provide local programming on issues of nature preservation. The deadline for applications is Oct. 1. For more information, contact Marilyn Hull at 843-8727 or marilynhull@dccfoundation.org.
