Ottawa man reports forgery, theft involving U.S. Treasury tax refund check
A 44-year-old Ottawa man made a forgery and theft report to Lawrence police Thursday alleging that on March 6 someone forged a U.S. Treasury tax refund check and stole $1,353 from him and a 31-year-old Lawrence woman. The alleged theft occurred in the 3000 block of Iowa Street.
