Topeka Thomas Irick went 3-0 at No. 1 singles, and Victor Andrade was 3-0 in No. 2 singles to lead Lawrence High’s boys tennis team Tuesday at the Topeka Seaman quadrangular.
The Lions defeated Shawnee Heights, 3-1, tied Topeka Seaman, 2-all, and tied Topeka West, 2-all.
Keenen Wycoff and Kley Bolivar teamed to go 1-2 for LHS at No. 2 doubles.
“We played very good singles today,” LHS coach Chris Marshall said. “Most of the matches were not that close. In doubles, Keenen and Kley are JV players who stepped up, and I was really proud that they won a match. They showed some promise.”
