LHS soccer ties

? Parker Davies scored on an assisted goal from Johannes Reiver, and Lawrence High’s boys soccer team tied Shawnee Mission Northwest, 1-1, on Thursday night.

SM Northwest was previously the No. 1-ranked team in the state.

“We’re really coming together,” Lawrence coach Mike Murphy said. “I feel great about what we can do this season. Our guys were giving it everything they had.”

Tanner Click recorded eight saves for the Lions.

Lawrence (1-2-1) will play host to Junction City on Saturday.
