• Medicalodges Eudora, 1415 Maple St., Eudora, has been recognized as a 2011 recipient of the Bronze – Commitment to Quality, National Quality Award for its outstanding performance in the health care profession. • Summers, Spencer & Company P.A. and SS&C Solutions Inc. will move its Lawrence offices Friday to 3320 Clinton Parkway Court, Suite 220. The new location will have state-of-the-art technology capabilities to better accommodate their clients and associates with seminars and training sessions. • Richard Konzem, who has more than 30 years of managerial experience, primarily in intercollegiate athletics, has been named chief operating officer for the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America. He will officially begin Monday. Konzem comes to GCSAA from Rockhurst University, where he has served as director of athletics since November 2007.

• Douglas County Farm Bureau Association will hold its annual meeting Oct. 24 at Douglas County Fairgrounds in Building 21. Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. Guest speaker will be Clint Hornberger. Farm Bureau members and their guests should make reservations by Oct. 20 to the Lawrence office at 1217 Biltmore Drive. Admission is $5 per person.

• The Jellystone Park Camp-Resort in Lawrence has a one-acre corn maze and fun, family Halloween-themed activities every weekend this month, including a two-story haunted house, open to the public as well as campground guests. The campground is also holding a food drive throughout the month of October, with collected food being donated to Trinity Interfaith Food Pantry. Anyone who makes a food donation will receive a discount on the haunted house admission.

• OrthoKansas, PA announces Ryan Fleming, PA-C, has joined their clinical staff. Fleming brings more than four years of experience working in primary care setting, which includes family practice, internal medicine and urgent care as well as Orthopaedics.

• Morgan Stanley Smith Barney announces Emily Bowersock Hill, CFP, a vice president, financial adviser and portfolio manager in the Firm’s Wealth Management office in Lawrence has earned the Family Wealth Director designation. Hill has been a member of the financial services industry for nine years.

• Keller Williams Realty Inc. is making its debut into the Lawrence market with the opening of Keller Williams Realty Diamond Partners Market Center. The Keller Williams Diamond Partners Market Center, located at 545 Columbia, was established in September and is led by operating principal Larry Kueser and team leader Rob Hill.

• Gina Halsey, local acupuncturist who formerly practiced in Los Angeles and served as board chairwoman at Yo San University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Los Angeles, was invited to give a presentation at Perry-Lecompton High School. Halsey will give a presentation about acupuncture and oriental medicine from 8:15 a.m. to 9 a.m. Monday in Pat Hupfauf’s health class at the school, 404 Lecompton Road, Perry. Halsey will also tell about her advanced internships in China.
