Arkansas City man to face murder charges after fatal traffic accident

? A 23-year-old Arkansas City man will stand trial on second-degree murder charges after a traffic accident killed his girlfriend.

Kyndal G. Orange faces an alternate charge of manslaughter while driving under the influence in the March 5 death of 26-year-old TiOnna Rachelle Bruno on U.S. 77 near Arkansas City.

The Arkansas City Traveler reports that at a preliminary hearing Tuesday, one of Bruno’s friends said she was on the phone with her just before the accident and Orange threatened to wreck the vehicle.

An officer also testified that Orange and Bruno were arguing at a Winfield bar before the accident. Witnesses testified that he has drunk and speeding at the time, but Orange’s attorney disputed those allegations. And they testified that no other obstacles could have caused the accident.
