KU Monarch Watch program’s annual open house, plant fundraiser scheduled for Saturday

Kansas University’s Monarch Watch program has scheduled its annual spring open house and plant fundraiser sale for Saturday.

The event is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Foley Hall on KU’s West Campus.

Nearly 4,000 butterfly plants will be on sale, including both annuals and perennials. Modest contributions are suggested for the plants. The plants include milkweeds, which help sustain the monarch migration.

Games for children and other monarch butterfly and bee exhibits will be available as well.

Complete details, including a map and directions, are available on the Monarch Watch website.
