Cessna to stop producing Citation CJ1+ jet
Wichita ? Cessna Aircraft officials say the company will stop producing the Citation CJ1+ light jet later this year.
The company says it delivered only three of the aircraft last year. It delivered 14 CJ1+ jets in 2009 and 20 in 2008.
Company spokesman Bob Stangarone told The Wichita Eagle in an email that the final CJ1+ is scheduled for delivery in September.
The $5.15 million CJ1+ fills the gap between Cessna’s Citation Mustang and the CJ2+.
It has a speed of 448 mph and can carry eight people.
