9-year-old boy hit by car Saturday released from hospital
The 9-year-old Lawrence boy who was injured Saturday afternoon after he was struck by a vehicle north of the intersection of Haskell and Ward avenues was released from Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center in Topeka on Tuesday, police and the family said Wednesday.
According to the accident report, at 2:15 p.m. Saturday the boy had entered Haskell Avenue while not in a designated crosswalk from the east and was struck by a northbound Chevrolet pickup truck.
