Mclouth ? Johnny McDermott scored 21 points and pulled down nine rebounds, and Seabury Academy’s boys basketball team advanced to the finals of the McLouth Invitational with a 61-53 final over Jefferson West on Friday.

The Seahawks will play in the title game against Atchison County at 7 tonight.

“We’re just a little (Class) 1A school playing 4A schools (at tournament),” Seabury coach Ashley Battles quipped. “But even though we’re small and they’re big, we did expect to be in the finals of this tournament or any tournament we play in.”

McDermott’s brother, Josh McDermott, pitched in 15 points and nine rebounds for Seabury (6-3).
