Big 12 men’s basketball roundup: Colorado stuns Kansas St.

Colorado 74, No. 21 Kansas State 66

Manhattan — Levi Knutson scored 20 points, Alec Burks added 12, and Colorado beat a ranked team on the road for the first time in 14 years with a victory over Kansas State on Wednesday night.

The resurgent Buffaloes (13-4, 2-0 Big 12) were coming off an 89-76 home victory over Missouri that was their first win over a ranked team in almost seven years.

No. 15 Missouri 77, Nebraska 69

Columbia, Mo. — Marcus Denmon made five three-pointers and matched his career best with 27 points, helping No. 15 Missouri end Nebraska’s 11-game winning streak.

Ricardo Ratliffe added 12 points, seven rebounds and four blocks for the Tigers (15-2, 1-1 Big 12), who bounced back from a 13-point loss at Colorado that knocked them out of the Top 10.

They succeeded playing at Nebraska’s half-court style for the most part and became the second team to top 70 points against the Cornhuskers.

No. 14 Texas A&M 71, Oklahoma St. 48

College Station, Texas — Nathan Walkup and David Loubeau each scored 16 points, and Texas A&M extended its winning streak to 12 games with a victory over Oklahoma State.

The streak is the third-longest in Texas A&M history and leaves the Aggies without a loss since a 67-65 defeat by Boston College on Thanksgiving.

The Aggies (15-1, 2-0 Big 12) led by six at halftime and didn’t trail in the second half.
