Tulsa softball sweeps twinbill with KU

Liz Kocon’s 12th home run of the season gave Kansas University’s softball team its only runs of the day. The Jayhawks were swept by Tulsa, 3-0 and 4-2, in a doubleheader Wednesday at Arrocha Ballpark.

KU fell to 28-19, while Tulsa improved to 35-11.

Eight Jayhawks combined for 11 hits over the two games, but Tulsa’s pitchers combined for 20 strikeouts on the day, including 12 from Aimee Creger in her complete-game victory during the nightcap.

Kansas will face Iowa State on Friday and Saturday in Ames, Iowa.
