If you’ve been waiting until today to mail that income tax return to the feds, here are a few details you might want to know.

• The Post Office at Seventh and Vermont streets will accept returns until 6 p.m. today in the lobby. If you’re mailing your return outside, get it to the boxes on Kentucky Street by 5:30 p.m.

• At Jayhawk Station, the deadline for inside also is 6 p.m., but outside is 5 p.m.

• If you’d like to mix some entertainment with your taxes, head to the downtown post office, where the Alferd Packer Memorial String Band will perform. This is their 25th year. The band will play from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the lobby.
