Man dies in fall from grain elevator

? A 27-year-old man working for a Salina company has died after falling from a grain elevator in southwest Kansas.

The Liberal Police Department said emergency responders were called to the Perrytown Equity Exchange just after 10 a.m. Friday on a report that a man had fallen from the elevator. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

KSCB-AM radio reported that the man was working for a fumigation company from Salina and was preparing to start fumigating the elevators when he fell.

An autopsy has been scheduled for Monday. The victim was not identified Friday while family members were notified.
