Washington ? A federal research center focused on biofuels will be located at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

UNL chancellor Harvey Perlman had indicated in 2008 that such a center would likely be located in the research complex planned for State Fair Park. U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack on Thursday made the center official.

The Regional Biofuels Feedstocks Research and Demonstration Center will develop uses for feed stocks and bolster the construction of biorefineries.
